This is a great question. Sometimes I ask it with a few variations: What makes me happy? How can I live life and enjoy it? Who do I love, or what is exciting and special about today? In many ways I have asked this (or these) question all my life.
It seems to me that the answer(s) deepens with my practice. Sometimes it s a big deep question about life's purpose, the foundation of my soul and sometimes it is quite simple, like handling my finances or to get up in the morning. I think there are many answers and levels of depth to them as you show in the post.
But as a final answer I would say what keeps me going is a deep fascination of the mystery of life. I want to know myself as a being in this mystery. Everyday has new answers and I know they will never end.

When on December 18th, 1998, I witnessed how someone got rid of a headache and another person got rid of tiredness in a few minutes of answering a few simple questions--this happened in Day 1 of the Landmark Forum I was participating in--I felt deep inside that it should be possible to get rid of not just a headache or tiredness like that--answering a few simple questions honestly--but really of anything unwanted in one's life (a fear, crippling thoughts, even war, etc.)
In that moment when I had that realization, I made up my mind that I would not stop until this possibility of unconditional freedom from unwanted conditions in life would become real in the lives of all human beings. I think that is what keeps me going even when people try to discourage me or argue that this is not possible, or challenge me by saying "how come you are not free from problems yet?".
