Sinpire, Encourage and Educate on Excellence

Inspire, Encourage and Educate on Excellence

I want to I*nspire, E*ducate, E*mpower and E*ncourage your students, staff, faculty and administration to live the best life possible.

First, you want to know that you are bringing someone skillful that can impact your student body.

Second, you want to provide relevant material that will serve student development while engaging them. (Edutainment)

Third, you want to work with the budget you have.

To address the first point, here are testimonials from college students that attended lectures or longer programs:

Students In Long-Term Programs

I am better able to handle stress, I have less fatigue, and I have lost weight.

Kelly Colwell, University of Colorado Senior

I have better eating habits, I am exercising more and I have more energy.

Lorelei Ruttledge, University of Colorado Junior

University of Colorado Wellness Volunteer Group:

Thanks Seth for coming. I really enjoyed your wealth of knowledge and information on nutrition.

-Lindsay Miller, Sophomore

Seth, your presentation to our group was great. I know they enjoyed it and got some useful information from it. I think you really made a difference in how students view eating habits. Thanks so much for coming.

Anne Shuster, Director of Student Programs at Wardenburg Health Center

University of Colorado Women’s Rowing Team:

Seth is very knowledgeable about nutrition and very good at presenting information in a positive way. He gave me a new perspective, which has helped me to be positive, healthy and happy. He taught me things that I have not learned anywhere else!

- Kate Horton

Each session was productive and I learned so much. After every program, I had a more positive outlook and felt like everything you taught was something I could bring into my life. Goal setting, budgeting, healthy mind and emotions as well as eating were all helpful.

-Becca Bossert

Valuable lessons on energy, emotions, and good eating. I feel more control over my life. I loved the “crowding-out” theory. Focus on what is good, not on what you can’t have.

-Anneke Claypool

Seth’s focus is different than other health books that I have read. Seth’s whole focus is on being happy and healthy, not on being skinny or losing weight. I learned to use my time better, to get more sleep and that helped me eat better and feel better.

-       Logan Loeb

I’d recommend Seth for your school because he helped us create a plan for a better lifestyle without pressure or guilt. I really appreciated the focus that emotions are important to health too.

-Jennifer Davis

Some of things that Seth said, I have heard before, but I was really able to put them into action in my life. Working with Seth has helped me both mentally and physically. Everything I learned was valuable, but especially the nutrition part.

- Claire Duvall

To address the second point, here are a list of lecture topics that students benefit from hearing about:

  1. Health Is A Decision
  2. Healthy, Fast and Cheap Meals
  3. E-mail and Cell Phone: Handling The New Distractions to Success in School
  4. Time Management for Student Success
  5. Sleep & Performance
  6. Attitude Makes The Grade

We Work Together To Meet Your Needs for The Audience

  7. The Power of Your Words
  8. The Downside of Energy Drinks
  9. Skills For Future Leaders
  10. Achievement In School & Life

To the third point:

I can work with you and your department to create a program that works for your budget. Since I wrote the Healthy, Fast and Cheap series, I’ve been able to co-create unique programs that meet your needs.

Multi-department collaboration provides a platform to maximize my visit to campus. In the past, I’ve been able to coordinate a student affairs talk to peer mentors, a talk to the athletic departments, and a talk to faculty and administrators on the same day. Since each department was able to contribute a small amount of funds for the day, it made the sessions a reality!

Example:

Peer Mentor Group: The Choice for Health

Athletic Department: Healthy, Fast and Cheap Meal Ideas for Performance

Staff, Faculty and Administrators: The Hidden Cost of E-mail, Internet and Cell Phone Use on Students

Thanks for taking the time to visit this page. Call me at 303 443 6543. I am eager to present exceptional quality edutainment to your students, staff, faculty and administration.

Cacao

Posted by Seth on September 21, 2009 under Food, Nutrition, Superfoods, Uncategorized | Be the First to Comment

I am a big fan.

And I do like David Wolfe’s brand of cacao.

Though, I have to be honest. I think a lot of the intensity about cacao being so good for you, is my own complex mental web of justifying a strong daily habit!

Seriously, I eat cacao everyday and love how I feel, the overall effect and the energetics of it.

There are certainly drawbacks, one of which is impaired sleep. Maybe I will get into the energetics of cacao from the Chinese medicine perspective in another post, which is fascinating.

For now, enjoy the promotional clip of David Wolfe talking chocolate.
